From Zhaoqing, Guangdong Province. Studied in Japan. Adept in landscape painting, especially large paintings. He is an important member of the Lingnan School of Landscape Painting. He made a number of exhibitions within and outside China and some of his works were collected by German museums. He is now professor and advisor of the Guangdong Art Institute and a member of the Federation of Chinese Artists.
