About the Researcher

Dr. David Morrison has a Ph.D in Archaeology from the University of Toronto, and is curator of Northwest Territories Archaeology at the Canadian Museum of Civilization.

The author of many books and scientific papers on Inuit culture and history, he is a veteran of over twenty years of Arctic field work.

Dr Morrison's latest book, Inuit, Glimpses of an Arctic Past, was published by the Canadian Museum of Civilization in 1996. This richly-illustrated book features the history and culture of another of Canada's aboriginal people, the Copper Inuit of the central Arctic region.
