The Museum recently opened Napoleon and Paris, an exhibition that examines the complex relationship between a legendry man and one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Over 250 artifacts illustrate Napoleon’s career, the capital’s major political players and the everyday life of Parisians during that era.

In this video, curator Dr. Jean-François Lozier from the Canadian Museum of History, talks about some of the key artifacts that illustrate the inextricable relationship between Napoleon and Paris. What would France be today without Napoleon’s achievements?

The exhibition was produced by the Musée Carnavalet – Histoire de Paris, Paris Musées and the Canadian Museum of History.
