Video: Horse Power – The Paul Bienvenu Carriage Collection

The Museum has just opened Horse Power – The Paul Bienvenu Carriage Collection, a sumptuous exhibition of 18 horse-drawn sleighs and carriages. Handcrafted between 1770 and 1950, some of these elegant conveyances once transported Catholic cardinals, Montréal millionaires and governors general.

In this video, collector Paul Bienvenu discusses his passion for horse-drawn vehicles and what makes this collection so uniquely Canadian.

Horse Power – The Paul Bienvenu Carriage Collection is on display at the Canadian Museum of History until January 7, 2018.
