Treaty 7 silver medal
This medal was given to a First Nation’s signatory to Treaty 7, concluded between the Canadian government and the Niisitapiikwan (Blackfoot Confederacy) and its allies on September 22, 1877. Treaty 7 is one of 11 Numbered Treaties negotiated and signed by First Peoples and the Crown between 1871 and 1921.
