The Museum is currently presenting the special exhibition, Gold Rush! – El Dorado in British Columbia, which relives the tumultuous days of gold’s discovery in British Columbia’s Fraser Canyon in the 19th century. In this short video, Dr. John Willis, the Museum’s Curator of Economic History, talks about a key artifact displayed in the exhibition ― the British Columbia Express Company stagecoach― and explains its importance during the gold rush.

Gold Rush! – El Dorado in British Columbia is on display until January 15, 2017. The exhibition is organized by the Royal BC Museum, in collaboration with the Canadian Museum of History.
