Elected Prime Minister for the first time on July 11, 1896, Sir Wilfrid Laurier (1841–1919) left an undeniable imprint on the history of Canada — a legacy that lives on to this day. He is also the only prime minister to have graced a Canadian cigar, as seen here in an ad by Rock City Cigars from the early 1920s.
